Icarus!!

Hello all,


This week we did a very tricky writing task. We were shown a film with no dialogue, which was an adaption of the myth Icarus. We then had to write the story of Icarus and include adverbs, powerful adjectives, paragraphs and direct speech.

Walkley Playground Project

Parents! If you have a free half hour or so on Friday morning, or you're already joining us for the Golden Book assembly, please stay for a short presentation and discussion about our Walkley School Playground Project. 

Our outside provision for play is in real need of improvement and there are exciting plans underway to begin to transform the playground areas around the school. 

But ( there's always a but...), we need your ideas, inspiration, support and fundraising efforts.

Rousseau jungle art, Writing and Maths games!!

Recently, we have been finding out about the jungle paintings of Henri Rousseau. He was a wonderful and unique artist, who was self taught, and painted scenes purely from his imagination and trips to the botanic gardens in Paris.
